Mt Ellinor, WA

October 3, 2022

Drove to the trailhead for Mt Ellinor west of the northern end of Hood Canal in Washington state. The weather was fabulous although a bit of smoke from fires. The trail was short (1.6 miles to the summit) but gains 2444 ft. so is fairly steep.

The rock here is amazing. Takes me back to those rock climbing days. The views really give you a sense of how big the Park is. As far as we could see, nothing but rugged, wild country and mountains.

An amazing grouse year, they were everywhere!
